A huge cry to all those following the daily chores..
A typical Imtiaz Ali flick; potraying the actual Tamasha that all of us end up doing in our mundane life. The director provokes every individual to live the life that he or she loves instead of following the corporate culture. The most wowing thing in this romance drama is the success of the director in communicating this message through a neatly written script. We can definitely relate parts of the movie to Jab we met, Rockstar, Highway in the portrayal of female leads. I somehow feel that Kareena, Nargis, Alisha or Deepika; there is defnitely a lot of similarities in them. The fun loving, off beat girls of the modern era who have escaped the patriarchic community. Ranbir deserves a special applaude for carrying out the Tamasha(corporate life) versus the sought after career, where he wanted to be that of a modern era story teller. He has perfectly balanced the duo while he also clearly shows the characters of story teller in his corporate job. Tamasha is definetely a must watch for all and Imtiaz Ali fans would not turn back dissapointed.

A feel good movie that leaves a good impact on the viewer....
An extremely excellent portrayal of all lower middleclass women folks in the country. The plot is inspired from a true story based on a character from Lakshmi Ramakrishnan's reality show. Lakshmi Ramakrishnan has donned the role of a director and proving herself as a testimony to her movies that goes into the odds of the male dominated cinema industry. As an actor, she needs no comments as the role of Salama reminds of almost every "Ayya amma" or domestic helpers that work across the country.

Yet another one..
An engaging plot; where the protogonist finds ways to retreat the wrong doers in the society in his way. Another example of showing an exemplary villain who make the protagonist run and then eventually falters. Vikram Prabhu, after an immense opener like Kumki needs to experiment more to evolve as a complete actor. However, the stunts look convincing, although the movie drags a lot in the second half.

One of the mass movie of GVM.
The protagonist of the Tamil version Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada is Simbhu and the heroine is Manjima Mohan, who also plays the leading lady in Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo which is the telugu version of achcham enbathu madamayada. The film first half is fully loaded with romance which reminds vinnaythaandi varuvaaya movie and the second half is full of suspense, thrilling and stunts. Actor Simbu performed well both in mass scenes and the performance oriented portions.Actress Manjima looks great and thei combo is very good.

This film is meant to create awareness.
The film is about debt-ridden Gandhi (Vijay Sethupathi), who, with the help of falsified documentation, attempts to get to London on a tourist visa, stay back, in order to make more money. But later he found that the agent is a fraud and the message from here is a warning about shady agents.Overall, Aandavan Kattalai is a must watch for all the enthusiastic movie buffs. Ritika expressions and the comedies done by the characters are very good.

Story of our Indian Brillant Cricket Captain - MS Dhoni.
The untold story of Mahendra Singh Dhoni's journey from ticket collector to trophy collector - the world-cup-winning captain of the Indian Cricket Team. Its an inspirational movie and can learn a lot from this movie by taking MS Dhoni's life as a role model. How many obstacles he has faced in his life before winning the world cup is Chanceless and he is simply awesome. His decision at the final moment of world cup and his hard work in that is really apreciable. For a normal person in order to take such a decision need extraordinary guts. Proudly saying, Our captain has such a guts. He is very humble, confident, talented and skillful person and a great gift to our Indian Cricket Team. After watching this movie everyone will come to know about Dhoni more and loves him more.

Superb movie with great castings and screenplay.
Though its a remake of drishyam movie, The director has lending the movie with tamil style. The characters kamal, gowthami, daughters has lived in their characters. Though the story is normal, the screenplay keeps us to the edge of the seat till the end. The story location papanasam was so so greeny and natural. The asha sarath who comes as police commissioner acted so good as mother, police and husband to a naive man. The whole film was so good.

A good moral given to the couples.
The movie revolves around John(Arya) and Regina(Nayanthara) who get married despite being unable to come out of their previous romances and how do they learn to accept each other, and eventually fall in love is all the story about. Nayanthara acting is mind blowing and the songs are very impressive.Climax of the movie is so good and Atlee directed it in very well manner. Santhanam and Arya combo is one of the reason for movie success. Jai innocence and Nazriyas cute expressions are extraordinary one which attracts audience attention towards watching the movie. They have shown good moral too through this movie.Hats off to all whoever involved in this movie.

A Rebel for Love...
Baaghi is a rebellious Love story which will feature Shraddha and Tiger going against all odds for love.Tiger Shroff show us that there can be a tremendous amount of beauty and grace in the way one kicks and punches assorted goons.Watch this film for Tiger Shroff. There is no one who fights like Tiger Shroff and it looks like we have finally found a genuine martial arts star. Shraddha looks more beautiful and "cham cham" song is my favorite one in this movie.

Comedy Entertainer...
"Kadavul Irukkan Kumaru is a comedy entertaining movie with a normal story as a bottomline. RJ Balaji, Prakash Raj, Singam Puli and Robo Shankar, are the backbone for the movie success. Because their funny role made audience to enjoy the movie . Two heroines, Nikki Galrani and Anandhi
were looking good in the screen. GV Prakash Kumar has successfully repeated his trademark mannerisms and the loser boy Kumaru character which suits well for him.

Solid performances, well written script makes a winning formula for successful film.
#Kaithi review 🔥💯
Kaithi was a fresh breath of air. I loved the non cliched story, I loved the performances, I loved how this movie was only hero centric only when the script needed it.
This is a near perfect movie but the kind of near perfect we needed today especially after Bigil. Not that there is a contest or something but if there was one, Kaidhi is the clear winner.
Lokesh Kanagaraj is the director, he has made this film called Managaram 2017, if y'all haven't seen this one, that one is a must watch. A well written original script.
That movie was the reason why I wanted to watch Kaidhi today and Lokesh didn't disappoint at all. Just because he has a big actor on board ,it doesn't seem like he compromised the script like others do.
The script is pretty simple and action packed and filled with content and there is no one dull moment in this film.
The movie doesn't have a female lead but no female lead is always better than a poorly written one.
I did feel a bit of a lag here and there but overall pacing of the screenplay made up for it. The climax action sequence is something I enjoyed very much. This is the case with well written movies, they do a good job of entertaining you.
But some parts could have been done better in my opinion, the character of the undercover cop should have added something more than what it did. This is a solid film regardless of minor issues, no doubt in that.
The film is so good that, a certain Ram Kumar look alike director should drink the piss of Lokesh Kanagaraj so that he might gain some writing skills.

Truth and the judgement...
I have heard that "Vaaimai" is a remake of 12 angry men. But I didn’t see the movie yet. So I feel it’s a good Movie, different story line. Better than regular commercial movie. Surely one time can watch. All the actors have done a decent job in the movie.

A well written political satire drama that stands out separate...
Another master stroke by the Cuckoo director. It takes an immense courage to pull of a rather politically controversial script in a jiff with totally unknown faces. Guru Somasundaram deserves an honour for pulling off such an offbeat role with ease. Joker is definitely that type of cinema which gives me a confidence that Tamil cinema is capable of producing such good movies and we can expect much more good cinemas in future. Another brilliant thing in the movie to be noted is the Chellama track by Sean Roldan that grooves into your soul.

A Lost pearl..
Bharath Bala's creative focus upon a fisherman's journey to Sudan for repaying his uncle's loan and the difficulties involved as he gets trapped by pirates. Maryan with the given script could have been a better engaging narration; however loses grip with the song sequence. Brilliantly shot visuals and exemplary songs could have been a standalone piece. Credits to French cinemantographer Marz Zirconis for the fantastic visuals. In short Maryan scores 5/5 from technical aspects but could have been more engaging.

A great love film of the decade.
Alphonse Puthren’s Premam, a phenomenally super hit Malayalam film that captures the beautiful landscapes of Aluva. The film portrays the journey of George David , a poignant love journey which begins from the teenage love for the most attractive girl Mary. The film belongs to the genre called period film which shows the different phases of George’s life.

It should be stated in no uncertain terms that the kind of filmmaking style, especially the one that projects the post-millennium teenage infatuation and then the youthful campus love and the final wrap up of George David's story in a happily ever after married life, is highly innovative and energetic. The romantic fantasy screen that is unfolded in the film is that of a male gaze, a rather refined Malayali (hereafter mallu) male gaze .The innocuous romantic teenage gaze remains unreciprocated. George David’s teenage heart hankers after the extraordinarily beautiful girl Mary. She has got plenty of followers in the locality. Here teens are shown as love-sick chocolate chaps. They are immature lords of the fantasy world of love. Being the most attractive girl, Mary happens to be everybody’s heroine, everybody’s heartthrob. To everybody’s collective frustration, Mary is already in love with a boy. The chapter of first love closes here. George’s second love blossoms forth with the arrival of Malar, the young lady guest lecturer. She is very kind and considerate towards her students. It can be easily inferred that Malar who have almost been exalted into a popular Mallu prayer song (Malare Ninne Kaanaathirunnaal), is an upper caste Tamilian with a cosmopolitan bend of mind. She is at once modern and traditional with her flair for modern breakdance and with her taste for the exquisite Hindu traditional feminine adorations like sandal mark for the forehead and jasmine flowers for the long hair.

In Malayalam cinema, campus is the typical space of the masculine social transgressions. Society outside campus space is full of norms and morals. There are several moralists who argue that loving a teacher is a big sin. The film shatters such moralism in its steadfast duty to the illegitimate love of George David as opposed to the legitimate love of Vimal Sir, the colleague of Malar. Here George attains a novel sensorium of experience, the ineffable ecstasy of love. Bringing a turning point, there arise an alibi for separating the inter-caste and inter-state love between George and Malar. Malar met with an accident and plunged in the unfortunate situation of memory loss. George has to cut down his second love at this crucial moment. In the final phase, we witness the third love of George, the self-restrained love of George who has attained adult maturity. She is none other than Celine who happens to be the young companion of his first love Mary. The film ends by showing the happy faces of the newlywed couple: George David and Celine. Though the storyline sounds all too familiar, it is the mode and the form of the storytelling that renders the otherwise simple and light-hearted content of the film profound and palpable.

On the whole, the film offers a very resigned risk-free zone of conjugal life. Every struggles of love are thus resolved in such a way that a matured conflict-free family life is guaranteed. All the adventures of love are suspended in favour of the established mallu adult maturity. Though the presence of conventional moralists preachers are ridiculed in the movie, the presence of modern moralist preacher called soft-skill trainer is very much present in the film. The film is indeed proposing a big moral lesson. Love failures needs to be treated as training ground in the great journey towards marriage. Finally, marriage is constructed as a safety valve against the fickle-mindedness and perils of wayward love. The film does not show the life after marriage.

The "scene contra" song brings to the fore the typical reaction of frustrated mallu boys in the form of warning and consolation.Being a hilarious friendly advice, this song appears as a double negation.Celine rejects David's proposal as she is already engaged to another person. She has no other option but to reject his proposal. Then there is a negation love as such in the song. Thus, there is a negation of a negation.Nevertheless, this negation of negation is also an affirmation of a disavowed attachment. David's friends are not just trying to console David. This song can be read as an exhortation to reject heterosexual love's labour in general. It can even be observed that the song makes a veiled plea for homoerotic love which is stable and secure, for the homosocial male bonding would never be perceived as the unnatural form of relationship. The lines “Avalu Vendra, Evalu Vendra Ee Kaanunnavalmmaaronnum Vendra, Love Vendra, Namukku Vendra ( Dude, you don't need this chick, you don't need that chick and we don't need any of these chicks and we don’t want love) can be interpreted in this way too: We guys(or gays?) don't need heterosexual love. We boys don’t need to waste our valuable time running after a girl. It is always a risky endevour. A girl's love is always uncertain and untrustworthy as she is already guarded by traditional forms of parental authorities.Instead of getting trapped into such dangerous situations, we can be content with our homosocial male bonding. Thus, the song is not just an advice to the love-sick boys to abandon their futile struggles to win the heart of the haughty chicks.

In the final phase, we see George David in the position of the proprietor of a well-maintained café named Agape. This is a cosmopolitan café where only the elite sections gather. Where did he gather the money to build such a big luxurious café? The source of investment is not revealed in the film. Also, the film presents an internal critique of the old authoritarian capitalist model where the profit-hungry capitalists treat their workers like slaves. Unlike the old authoritarian capitalists, George is very friendly with his workers and he takes offence when his assistant manager Jojo calls him “Muthalali”(capitalist entrepreneur). Alongside this, the film caricatures the old symbolic authorities like the flirts, the official language, the patriarchal father, the church, the teacher, the police who arrests the youngsters for wearing the Bob Marley T-shirts, the government that increases the price of petrol and so on and so forth. However, film produces newer forms of symbolic authorities in a subtle and sophisticated manner by way of embracing a normalized endogamous marriage towards the close of the film. Because of this, Premam’s butterfly is mentally normal. So is its Love.

Premam naturalizes the institution of marriage. Nevertheless, one striking feature of Premam is that the final narrative closure with the endogamous marriage offers a nostalgic space for nurturing the transgressive desire for an inter-caste and inter-state love. By marrying Celine who hails from his own faith community, George David elevates Malar as an absolute object of desire.
