These are: Hamid, the owner of a menswear store; Judy, an American woman married to an Iranian; Judy’s brother-in-law, Ali; Judy’s friends, Rasheed, Trish, and Suzanne; the schoolteacher Mrs. Azahr; the mysterious Miss Alavi; Amahl; and the smuggler, Mosehn.
