With a gross of over $725 million, it is the ninth-highest-grossing film of 2019, as well as the third-highest-grossing animated film of that year and the second-highest-grossing film of all time in China.It began a North American release on 29 August 2019 in select IMAX 3D theatres, before a nationwide rollout on 6 September.
