Musafir is the second collaboration between Ashiqur Rahman and Arifin Shuvo after initial success of 2014 action film Kistimaat. The film was released on 22 April 2016 and received overwhelming response at box office and from audiences.The sequel, Musafir: Monks of Myanmar will be released in 2017. The film will explore Bangladesh intelligence agency operation in Myanmar.
