The New Zenfone Max will come in two variants :
Zenfone Max 2 GB RAM with 32 GB storage and SD 615 – Priced ~Rs. 9,999.
Zenfone Max 3 GB RAM with 32 GB storage and SD 615 – Priced ~Rs. 12,999.
Performance:
The smartphone comes with Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5 Ghz and Adreno 405 GPU for gaming. The performance is decent while gaming and general tasks.
Also its comes with 3GB RAM / 2GB RAM and storage on both the variant is 32 GB. So, It will give smooth multitasking and gaming experience.
Camera:
Its comes with 13 Megapixel, f/2.0 aperture rear camera with new pixel master technology. The front one is a 5 MP camera with f/2.0 aperture lens and both the camera performs good even in the low light condition. In addition, It has laser focus technology to ensure the faster focus.
OS:
It runs with all new Android Marshmallow 6.0 OS and having Asus Zen UI.
Battery Life:
The big highlight of this device is that it has a very long battery life, It has non-removable 5000 mAH battery capacity and it can last long for 2 full days without need for a charge.
Other features:
The smartphone has Dual Sim support and also offers reversible charging, you can charge any smartphone using the reversible charging cable which comes with the Asus Zenfone Max. It also supports 4G LTE and USB OTG.

Goods
- The main problem of any smartphone is battery life, in which this phone have dominated with its performance. With 5000 mah battery the phone have uses time at least 1.5 days with heavy usage and wifi, data, location, bluetooth, autosync always enable.
- The phone has 2GB ram which is performing good on multitasking.
- Asus ZenUI is one of the best interface in android. Its pre installed features like AppLock, Ram Booster and many more are integrated with the system and work better than any other alternatives.
- Built quality looks so premium and does not look cheap at any point. Textured Leather finish at back, Metallic finish at sides make this phone look good.
- I think it is the first under 10,000 phone with Gorilla Glass 4 Protection.
- Screen Responsiveness, Brightness Adaptation, Viewing Angles, Colour Production are also excellent.
Bads
- With qualcomm 410 chipset, 1.0 Ghz quad core cpu and Adreno 306 gpu, this mobile is on some lower side in processing time and gaming. If you are buying this phone for high graphics gaming, try considering Asus ZenFone Laser which have Qualcomm 615 Chipset. But if you are not a high gaming on phone enthusiast like me this specs should not be a problem for you.
- This phone is not for high grade photography enthusiast. But this does not mean that the camera performance is bad. It will be fine in day to day life, and there are so many options available in camera which may enjoy you. For under 10,000 segment camera performance is lot giving.
- Loudspeaker feedback is lower. Not as loud as others. But is sufficient for me. If you play movies and other videos in loudspeaker and loudness is first thing that matters to you then try considering Lenovo K4 note which has has dual dolby speakers.

ASUS has introduced a new variant of the ZenFone 2, The Laser variant is largely the same as the original ZenFone 2 smartphone, but with some small differences, not the least of which is the laser-assisted auto-focus from which the variant gets its name.

Hardware:
As with the ZenFone 2, the ZenFone 2 Laser features a rounded back panel with a brushed metal-esque design, as well as a volume rocker positioned beneath the rear camera. The changes start with the hardware that lies under the hood. Rather than sporting the Intel processors found in the ZenFone 2, the ZenFone 2 Laser has a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor complemented with 3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB storage options.

Camera
The variant’s biggest difference over the original ZenFone 2 is the laser-assisted auto-focus, which is aimed at helping eliminate those soft images and unwanted blurs too common with mobile photos. The camera produces nice images, and is quick to readjust to the ideal settings. Transitioning from a shot in the dark to a shot of a bright noon sky is done so rapidly as to nearly be instant.

Performance:
the ZenFone 2 Laser is somewhat less powerful than the ZenFone 2, though the differences are relatively minimal and, for casual users, likely to go unnoticed in most occasions. The decrease in performance does come with a smaller price tag, however, which is for some users a preferred tradeoff.

Battery:
Battery life, meanwhile, is very good when it comes to standby, as the screenshot below shows. The phone will go for several days without charge when in standby, a time that is cut down to several hours or more with usage. How long you ultimately get when using the device depends on what you’re doing and things like screen brightness and whether networks are enabled. There is a power saver mode for conserving battery life, with various preset modes and a customization mode being offered.

Dual-13MP cameras, Snapdragon 615 SoC and 3GB RAM with decent battery life makes the Zenfone Selfie a competent smartphone, but the large form factor brings down its appeal.
